Our planters are made from recycled aluminum and steel, designed as both metal sculptures and functional art. We are committed to the environment by featuring products that are environmentally sound with low emitting materials used in sealants and finishes.
Our containers are made out of 14-gage mild steel. 14-gage is approximately 1/16 of an inch thick. According to US Steel, the rate of deterioration of unfinished steel in an exterior environment is the loss of ½ the thickness, or 1/32 of an inch, in ten years. Therefore, one could assume 18-20 years before any rusting through could occur.
All of our containers come with drain holes and intend on being directly planted in. It is not necessary to use grow pots, however, some of the designs have been fit with interior shelves to hold grow pots and saucers or to reduce the amount of soil needed to fill the containers if one chooses to do so.
Our handsome and immensely practical steel fire pits are handcrafted by artisans in either a rust finish (shown here) or a low-maintenance powder-coated finish. Easily assembled and moved around, this 30" square fire pit has a removable liner which lets you dispose of ashes in a convenient way. Fire pits can be used either as a gas fire pit or a wood burning fire pit. Gas kits are available at an additional charge. Our products are not only durable and weather-proof, but also add an organic, structural element to your landscape. Fire pits can be ordered in custom sizes. Please contact us for more information. A fire pit should always be placed on a fire-proof surface (such as a paver deck) and supervised when lit.
